Questions

What’s the difference between locked and hidden?

A locked album shows in your list but needs your passcode or Face ID. A hidden album doesn’t show at all until you type your secret code into search.

What happens when I get a new phone?

Sign in with your email and your backed-up albums, photos and videos come back.

I forgot my secret code. Now what?

Go to Settings, then Change Secret Code, and confirm it’s you with Face ID or your phone’s passcode.

Is Hide Your Photos free?

Yes. Locked albums, hidden albums, Face ID, the secret code and the private browser are all free, with 500 MB of cloud backup. Premium adds unlimited backup and removes ads for $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year. You can also remove ads on their own with a one-time $2.99 purchase.

How do I hide photos on my iPhone?

Open Hide Your Photos, create an album and import photos or videos from your Photos library. Lock the album with a passcode or Face ID, or hide it with a secret code so it doesn’t show in the app at all.

Do the photos stay in my camera roll?

You choose. After importing, Hide Your Photos can keep the originals in your Photos library, delete them, or ask you each time. You can change this in Settings under After Importing.

Do I need an account?

No. You can lock and hide albums without one. An account, set up with your email, is only needed for cloud backup, so your photos come back if you change phones.

Can I hide videos too?

Yes. Albums in Hide Your Photos hold both photos and videos, and both are backed up to the cloud.

What happens if I delete the app?

Photos and videos stored only on the phone are deleted with the app. Anything backed up to the cloud comes back when you install Hide Your Photos again and sign in.

What happens when my free storage is full?

Nothing is lost. New photos and videos stay on your phone and wait to back up until there’s space. Premium gives you unlimited storage.

Does backup use my cellular data?

Not by default. Backups wait for Wi-Fi, and you can allow cellular data in Settings.

What if I cancel Premium?

Your backed-up photos and videos stay safe in the cloud. New ones stop backing up once you’re over the free 500 MB. You can cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings.

I forgot the passcode for a locked album. Can I reset it?

Yes. Tap Forgot passcode? and, if you have an account, Hide Your Photos sends a 6-digit code to your email so you can set a new one.

Is Hide Your Photos on iPad or Android?

Not yet. Hide Your Photos is for iPhone, in English, Arabic, Spanish, German and French.

Only yours to see.
